Present
situation: |
| |
·
There are only 29 urban and rural prefectures that carry
out mammogram examinations.
(as of May 2002) |
| |
·
There are only 29 mammogram examination cars to circulate around the regions
among the 41 branches |
| |
of the Japan
breast cancer association. |
| |
↓ The
J.POSH MOVEMENT aims at the following: |
| |
For all women: |
| |
·
Diffusion of correct knowledge about breast cancer. |
| |
·
Educational movement for the diffusion of mammogram examinations. |
| |
(Organization of
educational seminars, educational activities through the internet etc.) |
| |
·
Activities to promote examinations by way of mammogram examination cars. |
| |
·
Donation of mammogram examination equipment to self-governing communities
and medical institutions. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Present situation: |
| |
In Japan there is no system
to aid the training of personnel to qualify as breast cancer specialists |
| |
(specialized doctors,
nurses and staff). |
| |
In the West, aid activities
such as those of the Mc Millan cancer foundation in England are carried out |
| |
actively, resulting in the
development of many breast cancer specialists that can give patients the
right |
| |
support. |
| |
↓ The J.POSH
MOVEMENT aims at the following: |
| |
For all patients: |
| |
·
Promotion of specialized medical treatment |
| |
·
Activities for psychological care, such as counseling by specialists |
| |
·
Holistic support activities by specialists |
| |
· Aid
activities for the development of specialized doctors, nurses and staff in
order to realize the above |
| |
objectives |
| |
· Aid
activities for breast cancer research |
| |
· Support for the
establishment of medical institutions specialized in breast cancer |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Present situation: |
| |
Many of the breast cancer
patients support society and families, and are mostly women in active
service. |
| |
The families of patients
(especially the children) bear deep wounds in their hearts. Moreover, there
are big |
| |
changes in their daily
lives. |
| |
However, programs are
lacking to support these families both on the psychological level and on the
level |
| |
of daily life. |
| |
↓ The J.POSH
MOVEMENT aims at the following: |
| |
·
Support for the families of breast cancer patients
|
| |
(nursery service,
dispatch of home helpers, counseling etc.) |
| |
·
‘Family history clinic’ service for those women with a history of breast
cancer in the family |
| |
·
Aid activities for children whose mothers have died of
breast cancer |
| |
·
Organization of a network among families of patients |
| |
·
Establishment and aid of support centers for families of
patients |
| |
|
| |
